Here are some simple and easy Ayurvedic home remedies to keep hyperacidity away.
1.Cold milk: Milk has a high amount of calcium, which helps to prevent acid build-up by absorbing the excess acid produced. Also with if the milk is cold it sure does provides instant relief from the burning sensation that one feels during reflux. Avoid adding sugar.
2. Tulsi: One of the safest ayurvedic products, Tulsi helps in stimulating the stomach to produce more mucous. It contains antiulcer properties and reduces the effects of gastric acids. One of the easiest ways to beat the discomfort felt during acidity is by chewing 4-6 Tulsi leaves to find instant relief.
3. Fennel seeds: The reason one can find fennel as the base ingredient of many mouth refreshing products is that this small little gem helps your stomach to cool down. Chew fennel after every meal as it has many gastrointestinal benefits. Once every few days you can also have fennel tea as it keeps your digestive tract healthy helps in indigestion and bloating.
4. Buttermilk: One of the best drink to be enjoyed in the hot scorching weather is a glass of chilled buttermilk. Considered to be a sattvic food as per Ayurveda, buttermilk or chaas is known for its nutrients and soothing effect on the stomach. It contains lactic acid that normalizes the acidity in the stomach. If you don’t like drinking it just like that, try adding a dash of black pepper, a pinch of salt, a pinch of asafoetida and few freshly chopped coriander leaves.
