Ayurvedic treatments to control cholesterol levels

Excessive bad cholesterol in your body can be harmful and can put you at an increased risk of heart disease or stroke. To effectively control it, nothing can be better than the Ayurvedic or herbal methods. Therefore, to deal with it naturally, add apple, grapes, almonds, wheat, millet, porridge, and quinoa in your daily diet. Studies have found that almonds increase good cholesterol in the body and reduce the bad ones. Also, indulging in regular exercise and avoiding processed foods, sweet foods, beverages, cheese, and high-fat milk or curd benefit the body. Moreover, you can opt for Ayurvedic treatments like garlic, ginger, lemon, cinnamon tea, gooseberry, and honey.

Garlic, Ginger and Lemon: It is advisable to consume garlic, ginger, and lemon together for better effects. Mix fresh garlic buds with half teaspoon ginger and then add half a teaspoon lemon juice in it. Have this mixture daily before every meal.

Cinnamon tea: Experts suggest consuming cinnamon with herbal tea. Have it twice a day for better results.

Gooseberry: Gooseberry acts like the body’s hypolipidemic agent and reduces the number of lipids in the serum. Therefore, drinking gooseberry juice daily in the morning benefits our body.

Honey: To control cholesterol levels in the body, drink lukewarm water with honey mixed in it. Prefer having it empty stomach every day in the morning. Moreover, you can add apple vinegar or a tablespoon of lemon juice in it.
